ROICue ("we", "us") runs roicue.com. Set out below is what we do with information and what you can choose. In one line: your cost, final value and holding period are handled inside the browser and never leave your device.

What this policy applies to

ROICue is an ROI and CAGR calculator: it computes return on investment, net profit, investment multiple and CAGR, and can add extra contributions for a money-weighted return. In practice, it divides the net gain by the cost for a simple ROI, and for CAGR it takes the ratio of final to initial value to the power of one over the number of years, which is the growth rate that would produce the same end value by compounding. This page should be read with that tool in mind, because the limits described apply to what it computes.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from your cost, final value and holding period, and it is usually opened for things like comparing two investments over different lengths of time. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

What you enter

This site has no backend that receives what you type. The page reads your input to compute an answer, shows it to you, and forgets it — because nothing was ever sent anywhere in the first place. The arithmetic is identical regardless of who is looking at the screen.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not store what you enter, there is usually no personal data to produce — but you are welcome to ask.

Updates to this page

We may update this page as the site changes. Material changes are reflected in the "last updated" date above.

Information collected as you browse

Standard server logs are generated when your browser requests a page. They cover technical details like your IP address, browser, referring URL and timestamps, and are used only to keep the site running and secure. None of it is linked to the input you give the tool.

Cookies, ads and advertising partners

We set a cookie only to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized advertising in your browser settings or through Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the tool: the calculation requires none.

Analytics

Analytics on roicue.com are limited to counting: visits, a rough location and which tools are opened. The figures are aggregated rather than tied to a person, and none of them carries what you typed.

Financial figures you enter

Financial details are the kind of thing people expect to stay private. Here they do: the calculation runs locally and no amount, rate or balance is ever sent to a server.

Retention and security

ROICue keeps nothing that identifies you and nothing you calculated. The only security surface that matters is the site's own delivery, which is encrypted throughout and patched when it needs to be.

Under-13 users

ROICue provides general-purpose tools and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
